Specialty Groups Designed for Those Who Serve

While most of our small groups are specifically designed for those engaged in Individual Care and Development (ICD), we also develop groups for individuals with specific needs or circumstances that may not participate in ICD. For example, we have or desire to have groups for mental health professionals, first responders, pastors and ministry leaders, nurses, and teachers—among others.

You Can’t Pour From an Empty Cup

Many of these groups are intended for those that serve and care for others. Unfortunately, our experience is that many of the people whose job it is to care for others tend to give much more than they receive. We believe that we can only truly offer others what we have received ourselves. Our desire for you is to receive the care and support you need so that you might serve others from a heart of overflow, not from an empty cup

You Deserve to Receive

“Many of the people whose job it is to care for others tend to give much more than they receive.
We believe that we can only truly offer others what we have received ourselves.”
 — The Open Table
These groups offer a space where you can show up as yourself—not your title.
They are not therapy. They are not task groups.
They are spaces to be supported, not responsible.

Trusted, consistent group leaders

Each group includes trusted, consistent group leaders who help create a safe, focused space for care, reflection, and growth alongside others on a similar journey.

Support from others who understand your unique pressures

These groups provide support from others who understand your unique pressures, offering a space to be seen, heard, and cared for—especially if you care for others.

Space to process faith, emotion, and calling

You’ll have space to process your faith, emotional life, and calling—without pressure to perform. It’s a place to reflect, explore, and be honest.

Prayer, spiritual practices, and relational care

Group members share in prayer, spiritual practices, and relational care, creating a consistent environment for trust, healing, and encouragement as part of your ongoing journey.

Specialty Groups are not open to the public and are often by invitation, referral, or direct inquiry. This helps maintain trust, confidentiality, and common ground.
